Livestock Judging State
Last Saturday, Penn's FFA team traveled down to the State Livestock Judging Contest at Purdue University. The team included Nate Lenig, Jordan Beehler, Presley Lamberson, and Ben Lenig. They had to evaluate Market Steers, Breeding Gilts, Market Hogs, and Market Lambs. There were twelve total classes and six sets of oral reasons on why you placed them in the certain order. Penn placed 17th as a team in the state. Individuals Nate Lenig placed 48th, Jordan Beehler 80th, Presley Lamberson 86th, and Ben Lenig 27th. There were a total of 130 members in the contest.
Livestock Team Heading to State
Last week, Penn's Livestock Team traveled to the Laporte County Fair to compete in the annual Area Livestock Competition. This contest determined which teams make it to the State Competition at Purdue University on May 21st. The top six teams advance to state, and there are four members on a team. Penn's team consisted of two seniors Nate Lenig, and Presley Lamberson along with junior Jordan Beehler and somphomore Ben Lenig. Penn's FFA team placed 4th as a team including a 4th place individual Jordan Beehler.
Penn Girls Rugby Prevails over Warsaw
In a close match, the Penn Girls Rugby team beat a tough Warsaw squad 42-40 at the Elkhart Moose Lodge this past Thursday.
District Two FFA Contest
MISHAWAKA--Thursday night, March 25th., Penn High School hosted the annual District Two FFA Career Development Contest.

Kingsmen Robot Performs at First Competition
Kansas City, MO--On Wednesday, March 3rd, the Penn Robotics team, Team 135, set off for Kansas City, Missouri in hopes of placing well in their first competition. They had been preparing since the beginning of the school year, and after a six week build period, they were ready to send their robot into action.
