In efforts to try and reduce the abundance of students in the hall after the bell rings, Penn is enforcing a new tardy policy.

Students have a six-minute passing period to get from block to block. The policy requires students to be in their classroom before the bell rings. Any students that arrive at class after the bell are considered tardy. Students who are marked tardy will have to face the outcome of their tardies.

For the first tardy, the student will receive a warning and the teacher will document the tardy. For the second tardy, the teacher will call home or email the student’s guardian(s). For the third tardy, the teacher will complete a disciplinary referral in Skyward, and a Dean will follow up with a consequence like school or lunch detention.

If you have any questions refer to this link for the presentation on the policy.
