At the Mishawaka Library, teens gather to play League of Legends every Thursday, and you could get involved.

The Mishawaka Library has many online gamers as patrons. During the monthly Game Nights, there is a group of people that head to the computer lab to play games there. The Mishawaka Library has since created a League of Legends night every Thursday from 3:30 to 7:30 P.M.

League of Legends is kind of like [an online] Capture the Flag, and you have to take over the other person’s base and get their nexus, which is a giant crystal.” said Arithon Effertz, who is currently a Freshman in the class of 2020. He attends most of the League of Legends nights and is very proficient in the game.

But why play League of Legends? “It’s fun, and increases skill, analyzation skills, and hand-eye coordination.” said Effertz.

League of Legends night is Thursdays from 3:30 to 7:30 P.M. Please register online at mphpl.org. If you have any questions, please refer to Adam Russell at arussell@mphpl.org.
