Every year, Penn High School’s dance classes put on a performance that showcases all of the different numbers that are taught and learned in class. From Dance 1 to the Advanced classes, you get to see all of Penn’s talented students on stage dancing to pieces choreographed by students and teachers.

Penn’s dance teachers Mrs. Wolfe and Mrs. Honaker come together each school year to brainstorm fun and entertaining routines to teach to their talented students.

“The show is about the dance classes that are choreographed by the ever so talented Mrs. Wolfe and Mrs. Honaker, and they create a big dance show for the people.” says Penn junior Terrence Chamushala. They come up with combinations and songs for tap, modern, as well as jazz. They create class activities that help students learn the routines. They also assess students over their knowledge on the style of dances that they learn in class. Students spend time learning the history behind dancing, all while preparing for the dance classic.

This event will take place Thursday May 23 and Friday May 24 at 7:30 pm in the Penn CPA. Come out and enjoy a night of music, dance, and entertainment. The students spend all year preparing for this showcase, and the show is always a dazzling sight.
