On November 21st, Penn’s Hockey team defeated Saint Joe two to one, helping them to a three-win weekend.  The Kingsmen started the game with a strong push on offense, with hopes for a quick lead in the game, but were not able to score by the end of period one.

Frustrated Penn defender, Tate Seroczynski, received a minor two minute penalty for cross-checking early in the second period.  In the 10th minute of period two, Penn rallied behind junior Tyler Lindzy to score the first goal of the game.

Before the end of the second period, St. Joe was able to score a goal, evening the score at one.

After the second intermission, Tyler Lindzy scored his second goal of the game putting Penn in the lead.  Near the end of the match, tension rose and St. Joe was charged with two minor penalties as they tried to tie the score. The Indians efforts did not prevail.

The game ended at Penn: 2, and St. Joe: 1.

Top scorer of the game, Tyler Lindzy said, “I think all three of our goalies played well this weekend…”  Lindy’s praise is not without evidence, all three shot-stoppers played well throughout the weekend, giving up only a few goals in their three games.

Scorers: Tyler Lindzy period 1 9:44, period 3 14:18
