Penn High School has recently reissued ID’s for every student, but why now?

The Penn administration has become worried about the security situation, and wants students to be wearing their ID’s so they know who belongs here at Penn, and who doesn’t. Director of Safety and Security at PHM, Mike Seger, said that making sure every student has an ID “identifies students who are actually students at Penn High School, but it also identifies those that are non-students, that don’t have identification.”

Administration has requested that all students wear their ID’s “out and on” using a lanyard. Mr. Hope told the Penn staff in an email that, “we just want to keep order here…and get ready for next year.”
