The XXIV Olympic Winter Games saw its opening ceremony on February 4th. The ancient event will be holding games every day until February 20th. The 2022 Winter Olympics include a record of 109 events over 15 disciplines in seven sports with some of the most common being: alpine skiing, figure skating, snowboarding, and many more. This years Olympic games are being held in Beijing, China. The games are being streamed live on NBC and many other channels. 84 countries are competing in this year’s Olympics. Athletes from each country will have their chance at winning one of the three medals: bronze, silver, or gold. These medals will then be added up at the end of the event for a total count to find out which country performed best in this year’s Olympic games. Italy won the bid to host the XXV Olympic Winter Games in 2019. Leading to the 2026 games being held in two Italian cities, Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
