A few weeks ago, Mrs. Hope and Mrs. Bretz helped set up wishing trees in the Penn courtyard. Inspired by the wishing trees of Yoko Ono, Mrs. Hope encouraged her students to make wishes on their own and put them up on the trees. More than 200 students ended up putting wishes on the trees.
Students wished for a variety of things, such as “to be happy and healthy”, “to be an author”, and “for world peace”.
The trees are still up and are visible from the courtyard window.
