Wear Green For The Irish!

This Friday, March 17, 2023, is St. Patrick’s day! Wear green to celebrate your Irish pride! These will also count as points for your G3’s Keep Pedaling challenge.

St. Patrick’s day was first celebrated in 1631 as a minor religious holiday honoring, you guessed it, Saint Patrick! The holiday was brought to America by Irish immigrants in the 1700s. Since then, the meaning of the holiday has changed, with it now being seen as a way to celebrate Irish heritage and culture rather than catholicism.

And, as freshman Kailyn Lewinski says about being Irish, “It’s who I am. You’ve got to embrace it.”
