Penn Senior raises $2,000+ for Water Wells for Africa

On Sunday, Sept 28, Penn Senior Kelsey Meyer embarked on a 30 minute trek around the University of Notre Dame’s campus, consisting of 28 one point five miles loops.

She did so to raise money for Water Wells for Africa, an organization which donates 98% of their profits to dig wells in remote villages in Africa. She’s following in the footsteps of her father, as he did the same thing for the specific nation of Burkina Faso several years ago.

“Since I’m younger than he is, I thought that I might as well follow in his footsteps and do something similar,” Meyer said. “And I chose Water Wells for Africa specifically because they’re a very respectable organization and they’re a very good non-profit organization.”

Even though her 30 mile walk is over, Meyer is still accepting donations through the Go Fund Me on the link here. By donating, you’ll contribute to the welfare of real people and communities in the continent of Africa.
