Penn spanish teacher Mrs. Jackson will be travelling to Costa Rica during the summer from June 5th to June 12th 2017 with students who are taking Spanish II or Spanish III next school year.

The second informational meeting for the Costa Rica Trip will be February 9th. Mrs. Jackson wants to take between 24 and 30 students to Costa Rica. The goal of this trip is for students to be immersed into spanish culture and develop a deeper understanding of the spanish language. In Costa Rica, students will plant a tree, visit a coffee plantation, visit a school, check out rainforests and beaches, and much more. Costa Rica is one of the world’s most progressive countries for protecting the environment and is home to 1/10th of the world’s bird and butterfly species. Costa Rica is also home to many rainforests, volcanoes, geysers, hot springs and beaches.
