On February 1st, the FIRST Tech Challenge robotics teams of Penn competed in the qualification tournament for semi-states. Teams 12092 Bravo Bots, 4600 Binary Bots, 4601 Beta Bots all qualified for semi-states. Team 6360 Brazen Bots placed 4th in the tournament itself, bringing home the finalist alliance award. However, they were not able to qualify as they were finalist alliance’s second pick. While they were not able to qualify, they are runner-ups. The semi-state tournament will be held on February 29th, at Tecumseh Junior High School. The opening ceremony will be held at 10:15, but competitors will arrive 3 hours earlier.
