On September 25, 2021 Penn High School hosted the annual Carnival Of Bands competition for area high schools at Freed Field. Penn High School was the last to perform, they were the non-competing exhibition show that night. The Marching Kingsmen’s routine featured the creation of multiple paintings by the band’s artists while the band played.
Penn Sophomore Keighra Michele says, “I mean obviously I was focused, but I felt a lot of positive energy from all of the other bands that were watching us and all the people that were watching us in the stands.”
The last competition was held October 2, 2021 at Homestead High School. The Penn Marching Band departed Penn High School at 1:15pm. The Penn Marching Band received second place.
