On Saturday, May 5th, Penn High School will be hosting the Silver Mile Run for Education. This year will be the 13th annual event. For the first time, PHM Education Foundation decided to add something special to the race: bubbles! The Bubble Bash is a run/walk 5k to help raise money for teachers in the PHM school district. For anyone who does not want to participate in the 5k, they can take a shorter path while still enjoying all the fun in the bubbles.

For those of you worried about getting wet and cold from the bubbles, you have nothing to worry about. The bubbles being used in the race will keep you warm since they aren’t made with soap and water like traditional bubbles. The bubbles are safe for everyone and the environment. They have been used all over the world and on many people. No one has ever had an allergic reaction and the environment has not gotten damaged. According to the Penn Harris Madison Education Foundation “The foam solution by Foamalicious is odor free, and has no chemicals, Sulfates or petrol ingredients.”

Dr. Thacker, the superintendent of the PHM district and advocator for the event, created a video giving all the details on the event. You can still register for the event at www.phmef.com. Come play in the bubbles while supporting the teachers in the PHM school district.
