Econ and Investing Club provides insight to business world

As Penn’s Economy & Investing Club starts off their year, Logan McGuire, president, gives students an inside look.

Econ & Investing Club is a great way for students to gain an inside look to the business world. McGuire stated, “We try to give our members the best insight into the real world as possible. Whether it be through guest speakers or something like the stock market game.”

The meetings include guest speakers who can give students an opportunity to ask questions & see what a business career would really be like. The stock market game is one way of letting members use virtual money to invest, like they would in a real business career.

Certain traits are needed for this club. “You have to be outgoing. Obviously, in business, you have to go out & get what you want,” McGuire shares. “You just have to be ready to learn.”
