EGG’s styling: keep it organized!

Some people love it, others hate it; regardless, organization is something that just has to be done every once in a while. Whether it’s spring cleaning, a new year’s resolution finally put into action, or a first-day-of-summer cleanse, we at EGG’s styling have the tips you need to keep it organized!

Once you finally decide that it’s time to face your closet, remember to be honest with yourself. When you’re unsure of whether to hold on to something or to pitch it, ask yourself if you will REALLY wear it. Can you think of items you would pair it with? Places you could wear the outfit to? If you can, save it! But if you’re doubtful you would get much use out of it, donate or consign it to make room for something you know you’ll wear. Stay smart about your clothes and only hold on to what you absolutely know you love.

Now it’s into the bathroom! It’s easy to throw stuff everywhere on your counter, then convince yourself you know where everything is. But the fact is, most people work better in an organized environment. Find bins or baskets that you can put your different products in; one for hair products, one for face products, etc. Put these bins under your sink or in the closet that most bathrooms have. Keep one drawer or cabinet for your hot hair tools, one for your daily essentials like tissues and a toothbrush, and have a trashcan handy. Utilize the cabinets under your sink by putting extra washcloths and towels there, and store all your medicine and cough drops in the medicine cabinet. Even put a little dish on your counter so that your hair-ties and bobby pins aren’t strewn across your bathroom. Sorting and storing everything in a specific spot will allow you to find things quicker and cut your getting ready time in half, getting you out the door faster.
