Highlighting new Penn orchestra teacher Mrs. Graham

Mrs. Ashlyn Graham is an orchestra teacher who is new to Penn this year. On top of this school year being her first teaching at Penn, this is her first year of teaching overall.

She chose to teach here at Penn because she “was very impressed with the school’s academic achievements and [she] liked the teachers [she] got to meet and [she] was excited when [she] heard about the program here.”

She chose teaching as a career path due to how she “really loved music and [she] felt like teaching music was the best avenue for going down music.”

She said that what she expects from teaching starting off is “to grow [her] teaching abilities and skills and just, helping as many students as [she] can find their passion, whether it’s in music or something else.”
