Kingsmen Named to All-State Orchestra

Here at Penn High School, several Kingsmen have been named to All-State Orchestra. After plenty of hours of hard work, practicing, and learning their instruments, students will be competing at the Indiana Music Educators Association Professional Conference in Fort Wayne. These students will be competing in January;

Felix Zhang (Violin)
Hannah Kang (Violin)
James Pennix (Viola)
Fiona Kennedy (Viola)
Michael Tapp (Oboe)

Another student named as an alternate, Jayden Wang, who plays the Cello will also be joining them.

These students explained how hard work and practice got them to where they are today. PNN got interviews with many of these students asking what they were excited about and who they had to thank. Many students, including James Pennix, stated that “he was excited to compete and for the experience.” Students are very thankful for their parents and their orchestra teacher, Mrs. Tschetter. Students Michael Tapp and Fiona Kennedy explained that they were happy that they got this far and how quickly they did especially with very little room of spots there were to get in at auditions.
