On Thursday the boys track team won the NIC Conference Championship. Penn beat 15 other teams with the closest scorer being Elkhart, 53 points behind. Penn scored 169, Elkhart scored 116.
In the meet, Vincent Niezerwicki won three blue ribbons and Mariano Retzloff won two. In one of those events, Retzloff broke the 1600 Junior Record with a run of 4 Minutes and 16 seconds. He now holds the junior record for the 1600 and the 3200.
Other athletes who did well in the meet were Josiah Williams placing second in the 100. Seth Jankowski and Dillon Pottschmidt took 2nd and 3rd in the 800, and the 4×100 team took 2nd. Nice job Kingsmen!
