Put together by Penn’s United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund club, the Penn Hygiene Closet is meant to provide goods like toothpaste, deodorant, and feminine products to those in need.
Penn Librarian and Spectrum Advisor Caelea Armstrong is the advisor of Penn UNICEF. After a conversation she had with a now graduated student, they came up with a solution on how
“We have so many different populations at Penn. There are kids in the foster care system, kids whose parents have lost a job,” Armstrong said. “We have the ability to help, and we are fortunate to live in such a generous community.”
Students who are in need of almost any kind of hygiene products can fill out the form in the link here or the QR codes throughout the school. All orders are anonymous and will be available for pick up from Ms. Callendar in the Guidance Office.
