Chase Osborn at 185 and Kobe Woods at 220 won a state championship this Saturday February 21st at there weight class.

Penn High School has not had a individual state champion for the last 44 years until Saturday February 21st. Penn sent three wrestlers compete for a state title. Drew Hildebrant Junior at 113, Chase Osborn Senior at 182, and Kobe Woods Junior at 220. Hilderbrant was the runner-up at 113. Also Penn’s Joey Mammolenti Senior at 170 and Cory Christman Senior at 285 made it to Saturday and both finished 5th. Penn’s team took first place at state with a score of 79, and winning their first team state championship.

Chase Osborn won a state championship at 182 with a score of 8 to 6 and getting the mental attitude award. Kobe Woods won a state championship at 220 with a score of 7-2. Chase Osborn and Kobe Woods had been ranked number one in the state of Indianian before the state tournament, Kobe finished 44 and o, and most likely will be pre-season number as for Chase who finished 39 and 0, and ended his career on top.

Be sure to head to the Kingsmen basketball on Tuesday February 24th at Penn, because at halftime the school will honor the state champion Kingsmen.
