August 26th was a great day down at the pitch for the Penn Boys Varsity Soccer Team as they added yet another win to this year’s season, this time against Concord High School. The team won in a resounding 3-1 victory, with team member Braden Murphey scoring two out of Penn’s three goals.
In an interview by The Pennant, Murphey states: “I figured, why not shoot it… I practiced it, and I might as well take it in-game.” When asked about the delay that set the game back, he said: “I think it got to the Concord boys’ head… they thought too much of it.”
The Kingsmen won against a strong Concord team, and it could be a good omen that the season will keep turning up good soil in the future.
