New Prairie’s cross country invitational is one of the most massive athletic events in Indiana. This didn’t shake the Lady Kingsmen cross country runners as they tore up the track on Saturday, September 20th.

The Penn girls cross country team took 5 of the top ten places, including first place. Maddie Woods took the first place spot with a remarkable time of 18:00.07. The other Penn runners placing in the top ten were Emma Jankowski (4th), Lauren Frank (5th), Danielle Frank (7th), and Jill Woods (10th).

There was an error in New Prairie’s scoring and timing system, so, officially, a winner has not yet been declared. But, fortunately, the odds are in favor of the Lady Kingsmen and their exceptional times.

Congratulations ladies, and keep up the great work!
