Over the weekend, the rugby team played against teams from all over the country at nationals in Charlotte, North Carolina. The boys played in a thriller on Thursday against Xavier. The Kingsmen were down 12 in the second half, but came back to win with a final score of 41 to 34. Xavier was number 3 in the nation and Penn was 15th. Harry Stevens lead the team with 3 tries in the match, and Casey Smith had 2. Jacob Byler and Bryant Anderson both added a try.

Penn went on to play Sacramento Jesuit on Friday but, unfortunately, lost 38-15.

After losing, the team played for third place in the nation on Saturday against Utah Herriman. Penn lost with a final score of 46-31. Harry Stevens lead the team again with 2 tries. Inoke Moala, Casey Smith, and Bryant Anderson all added a try for the Kingsmen.

Penn placed 4th in the nation and will travel to Fort Wayne this Saturday, May 23rd, to play for Semi State. Good luck, Kingsmen!
