Students and Staff in Penn High School may think the HP Chromebook 11’s are the best way for students to learn with new technology.

But are they?

Some students in Penn High School are reporting that the Chromebooks are slow and fragile. Some of the problems with the Chromebooks are due to the chargers breaking too easily.

Students have reported problems with the internal charger port on their Chromebooks, or the actual charger itself. Some students have received the original charger at the beginning of the year that was recalled on December 17, 2013.

There were several reports that the charger was recalled due to the charger overheating and melting. One consumer reported of a small burn to the consumer and another reported minor property damage to a pillow from an overheating charger.
