Are you ready for something magical?

Penn’s performance of the musical Mary Poppins is just two months away, and the Theater Department is seeking to cast an elementary or middle school-aged boy to play the part of Michael Banks within the next week. Director Mrs. Black says, “I’ve had a wonderful response already for potential Michaels from the PHS community and now want to open it up a bit more to find just the right actor.”

Michael Banks is a large role and requires dancing, singing, & acting. The dates of the musical are March 4, 5, and 6. Rehearsals will be almost every weekday from 3:30-6:00 in January and 3:30-6:30 in February, with times switching to 3 hours in the evening/night two weeks prior to the performances.

If this role is something you or someone you know would be interested in, auditions will be after school this Thursday, January 7 from 3:30-5:00 in Penn High School’s CPA. Enter through door C. Parents/guardians will be able to wait in the CPA lobby, or may leave and return at 5.

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Black at dblack@phm.k12.in.us or call and leave a message at the school (258-9500). Mrs. Black get back to you within 24 hours.
