Every year, the District of Columbia presents the Billy Michal Student Leadership Award to a student from each state. The award embodies the spirit of America in the winning student’s community. Values of leadership and perseverance should be learned by all Americans regardless of their age. Eric Bowers, a student at Penn, nominated Goffinet for the award.
On May 24 through 26, the 51 selected winners of the award will go on an all-expenses paid trip to the 2024 American Spirit Awards, where they will represent their state at the event. They will also participate in leadership activities and be able to explore New Orleans. Everyone at PNN congratulates Goffinet for this tremendous achievement and wishes the best of luck in the future.
