The Penn debate team performed well above expectations on Saturday, November 17th at the Ben Davis debate tournament. Out of fifty-three total teams, Penn was able to place three competitors in novice Lincoln-Douglas debate: Manaal Buch in 12th place, Alivia Schultz in 7th place, and Amrita Kulkarni in 5th place.

In varsity policy, out of twelve teams, Penn was able to secure both 1st place with the team of Lyvia Li and Anya Tang and 2nd place with the team of Luke Brown and Oliver Riley.

In novice Congress, Kriya Patel placed 1st.

In novice Public Forum debate, the team of Grace Julian and Meagan Tadevich placed 9th, and in novice Policy debate, the team of Andrew Cassel and Carmen Merino placed 5th.

All of these placements resulted in Penn placing 3rd overall out of twenty-two schools.
