Penn high school spell team celebrates

The Penn High School Spell Bowl Team is celebrating after wining the Logansport Invitational on Monday, October 26th. This is the team’s 7th win. The team dominated  the competition when both the varsity and junior varsity received perfect scores of 90. Martinsville came in second with a score of 78. Kouts followed with a score of 74.

Perfect varsity spellers were Michelle Tapp, Athreya Sundaram, Muqsit Buchh, Kanika Arora, Hannah McGinness, Presto George, Maggie Finnessy, Hannah Smith, Faihaan Arif, and Chris Yun.

Perfect junior varsity spellers were Chelsea Chen, Fezaan Kazi, Priya Chaudhary, Ali Sualeh, Yejee Oh, Tingy Lu, Alice Kwak, Ashan Suddiqui, Celine Wang, and Amy Bernard. The team will have its regional meet on Monday, November 2nd, at Plymouth High School.
