Penn High School’s Spell Bowl team hit the road to Oxford, Indiana on Monday night, October 12th, to win the Benton Central Invitational with an almost perfect score of 89 out of a possible 90. The win at the Benton Central Invitational was the fourth invitational title for the Kingsmen this season. Perfect varsity spellers for Penn were Michelle Tapp, Athreya Sundaram, Muqsit Buchh, Knika Arora, Presto George, Maggie Finnessy, Hannah Smith, Faihaan Arif and Chris Yun. The Kingsmen junior varsity finished with a score of 84, and the perfect junior varsity spellers were Amy Bernard, Tingyi Lu, Chelsea Chen, Priya Chaudhary, Yejee Oh, and Ali Sualeh. Below are the final standings for the Benton Central Invitational.

On Monday the Kingsmen will head to the Kouts Invitational for the second time for this season.
