The varsity Debate team took 5th place at the Valparaiso tournament Saturday the 19th of October. Placements of note are a first place finish in novice congress, and a seventh in novice Policy. Penn also took second in varsity World schools, and fourth in varsity Policy.
The team is led by Mr. Starkweather whose goal for this season is to win the state championship and attend the national tournament in Albuquerque, NM.
This weekend’s tournament results paint a promising picture for success for the Penn Debate Team.
