On January 7th, the Valparaiso Vikings made their way across parts of three counties to play our Penn Kingsmen at Penn High School’s Main Arena. Penn safeguarded the lead the whole game, blowing out Valpo 87-42.

The top scorer for Penn was Senior Markus Burton( #3) with 36 points and the top scorer for Valpo was Senior Mason Jones (#33) with 21 points. Penn senior Dylan Derda led both teams in rebounding, snagging seven boards. Penn senior Joe Smith led both teams in assists, dishing the ball to the scorer seven times. Valpo junior Phillip Amones and Penn senior Josh Gatete both were perfect from the free throw line, Amones going 1 for 1 and Gatete going 2 for 2.
