After a very good season, going undefeated in conference play and 21-7 overall, the Kingsmen softball season came to halt this Saturday against the Lake Central Indians, 2-0.

Makenzie Griman pitched for the Kingsmen allowing just four hits in the season finale. It was a pitchers duel. In the end, no Penn batter advanced past first base, but for the fifth straight year, Penn made it to Semistate.

Varsity team member and Penn Freshman, Addyson Kois said, “I love coach Zach. She’s helped me so much, making the transition easy, and she made our team a lot better than we were at the beginning of the season.”

With young talent and summer ahead, the Kingsmen will be looking to stage another long run in the year to come.
