The number 3 ranked Penn Kingsmen won the coin toss over the Elkhart Central Blue Blazers and elected to receive. The Kingsmen started the game strong with a touchdown on their first drive, senior Quarterback Camdon Bohn handed the ball of to Landon Martz to add onto his many rushing touchdowns on the season.  The wild bunch defense for Penn forced a quick three and out, which lead to the Kingsmen to take a lead 14-0 after Junior running back Rashid Fahim rushed for a 36 yard touchdown. This was the notion for the entire game as the Kingsmen took a 42-0 lead at half time, giving Coach Yeoman the chance to get a lot of youth into game. Sophomores Steve Null and Hunter Whitlow both scored touchdowns in the fourth quarter for the Kingsmen. The defense for the Kingsmen stopped a late minute Blue Blazer drive with a goal line stand keeping Elkhart Central off of the board. The defense only allowed 173 yards of total offense throughout the game and forced four turnovers, including an interception for a touchdown by junior Reece Treber. The Kingsmen are looking forward to playing in “The Backyard Brawl” this Friday as they travel Steele Stadium in Mishawaka at 7. Go and support the Kingsmen!
