The Penn basketball team suffered a tough loss last weekend to Crown Point losing 57-85, but the Kingsmen bounced back to even their record at 1-1 on the year. 

On Tuesday night, the Kingsmen traveled to Clay to take on the 1-1 Colonials. Penn’s freshman standout Noah Applegate helped the Kingsmen with 22 points in the 59-52 win for Penn. The freshman also pulled down 13 rebounds to record a double-double.

Senior Matt Trewhella led the team in scoring with 23 points. Senior Gunner Dittrich also added 9 points in the win and contributed huge on the boards with 14 rebounds.

Next up for the Kingsmen are the Minutemen from Concord, this will be Penn’s first home game of the year and is set to tip at 7:30 Friday night. Concord will come into the Palace with a 2-2 record hoping to move that record over .500. Penn enters the game with a 1-1 record and also will look to become over .500.
