Penn boys and girls swimming teams beat Mishawaka Marian swimming teams

The Penn Swimming Teams took on Mishawaka Marian High School on November 25th. Penn boys won 142 to 35 and the girls won 151 to 34.

The boys competed in 12 of 14 events. Penn boys won every event they competed in but one. The boys won the 200 yard medley relay, 200 yard freestyle, 200 yard IM, 50 yard freestyle, 100 yard butterfly, 100 yard freestyle, 500 freestyle, 200 yard freestyle medley relay, 100 yard backstroke, 100 yard breaststroke, 400 yard freestlye relay.

The winners in the 200 yard medley relay were Kyle Morris, Cole Pollyea, Mitchell Spangler, and Kyle Gebby. The winner in 200 yard freestyle was Bryce Holt. The winner of the 200 yard freestyle IM was Scout Spalding. The winner of 50 yard freestyle was Kyle Morris. The winner of the 100 yard butterfly was Matyi Kovacs . The winner of the 100 yard freestyle was James Kempa. The winner of the 500 yard freestyle was Romeo Conner. The winners of the 200 yard freestyle relay were Caleb Davis, Romeo Conner, Adam Wait, and Matyi Kovacs. The winner of the 100 yard backstroke was Kyle Gebby. The winner of the 100 yard breaststroke was Cole Pollyea. The winner of the 400 yard freestyle relay were Matyi Kovacs, Kyle Morris, Troy Weber, and Preston Daoust.

The girls competed in 12 events, as well. The girls won in every event they competed in. They won the 200 yard medley relay, 200 yard freestyle, 200 yard IM, 50 yard freestyle, 1 meter diving, 100 yard freestyle, 100 yard butterfly, 500 yard freestyle, 200 yard freestyle relay, 100 yard backstroke, 100 yard breaststroke, and 400 yard freestyle relay.

The winners of the 200 yard medley relay were Makenna Bottorff, Shannon Domal, Olivia Adam, and Sydney Acito. The winner of the 200 yard freestyle was Micayla Gebby. The winner of the 200 yard IM: Kayla Molnar. The winner of the 50 yard freestyle was Olivia Adam. The winner of the 1 meter diving was Kelsey Funkhouser. The winner of the 100 yard butterfly was Casey Ziegert. The winner of the 100 yard freestyle was Taylor Bush. The winner of the 500 yard freestyle was Kionna Clayton.  The winners of the 200 yard freestyle relay were Taylor Bush, Kionna Clayton, Kayla Molnar, and Mimi Torocz. The winner of the 100 yard backstroke was Olivia Adam. The winner of the 100 yard breaststroke was Emily Meckstroth. The winners of the 400 yard freestyle relay were Ally Langfeldt
