The Lady Kingsmen basketball team was defeated and their season was cut short last Saturday.

After being down 15 points to the Lady Lake Central Indians, the Lady Kingsmen fought back to take a lead going into the fourth quarter 30-29 after going 12-2 to end the third quarter.

In the fourth, the Kingsmen and Indians traded 3 pointers back and forth and the Kingsmen were down 3 with a minute left. The Lady Kingsmen fell short with a final score of 49-45.

Junior Center, Camyrn Buhr scored 10 of the Kingsmen’s 23 points to fuel the team in the forth. She also had 10 rebounds and finished with 23 points. The team shot 40% on 14 of 36 from the field. Lake Central’s Ashley O’Malley led the way for the Lady Indians with 10 points.

Congratulations to the Lady Kingsmen on their NIC Championship and 5th straight sectional.
