This past Sunday, October 12th, Penn hosted Hamilton United Girls Rugby. The match was held at the Elkhart Moose Lodge at 1 p.m. The game ended earlier than expected due to a massive lead made by Penn. Penn scored many times and while Hamilton came close to scoring, it wasn’t to be. Penn’s defenders wouldn’t let up on Hamilton and eventually Grace Kiraly, a Penn junior, was able to get her hands back onto the ball to score another one of her many tries. Although Hamilton lost, they were great sports and played well.
This upcoming Saturday is the Midwest Rugby Tournament. Both the boys and girls play all day. The tournament will run from 10 A.M. until 5 P.M.
