The defending state champs traveled to Lindenwood University in Missouri to start the season off.

Penn won the 2015 Rugby Indiana Super League State Championship last year and look to go back to back this season. Last year, Penn won the Lindenwood University tournament and earned the title again this year.

The Kingsmen started off with a 53-0 win over Eureka. Penn won their second game 48-0 and through two games, the Kingsmen put up 101 points. The semi-final had the same results winning against the 14th ranked St. Thomas with a score of 50-0.

In the finals, Indianapolis Cathedral would get a rematch against Penn who beat them in the state finals last year. It was a low scoring match but Penn did come away with a 12-8 victory to earn the title once again.

The team will next play St. Ignatius on March 18th in Cleveland, Ohio.
