On Saturday, December 13th,  the Penn Swimming and Diving team hosted Lake Central. Penn came out victorious, with final scores of 129 to 57 for the girls, and 107 to 78 for the boys.

The Penn girls won all individual and relay events but three. Emily Meckstroth, Kionna Clayton, Makenna Bottorff, and Lea Cecil won the 200 Yard Medley relay with a time of 1:50.55. Other highlights include Kayla Molnar’s victory in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:55.70, Anna Darr’s win in the 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 5:27.43, and Ally Langfeldt’s success in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:06.30.

The boys team was also incredibly successful, winning every event but two. Matyi Kovacs, Michael Knutson, Anthony Vernasco, and Parker Brandenburg won the 200 Yard Freestyle relay with a time of 1:29.19. Adam Wait was victorious in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:48.31, and Kyle Morris’ time of 51.19 earned him first place in the 100 Yard Butterfly.

Congratulations to the Penn swimmers and divers! Come out and support them at their next home meet on Wednesday, January 6th against Riley at 4:45. Go Kingsmen!
