Penn High School athletics is getting a big switch for most of their sports team’s. This could make a huge difference in the of opponents and venue for these team’s.

After playing the last two year’s in the Elkhart Sectional, the boy’s basketball team is back in South Bend to play against Laporte, Mishawaka, Adams, Clay, and Riley. This change will put Penn back in the pool to host sectionals, who last hosted in 2014.

Boys soccer sectional will add Laporte, and will compete with Mishawaka, Adams, Clay and Riley. The girl’s will also be in the same sectional minus South Bend Clay.

The Penn football team will be in the class 6-A sectional to play just as previous years, but will add Warsaw and will lose Laporte as they will move down to 5A. Other teams will include Valpo and Chesterton.

The Penn volleyball team will be moved to the South Bend sectional after being in the Elkhart sectional the past few years. Teams will include, LaPorte, Mishawaka, Plymouth, South Bend Adams, South Bend Clay, and South Bend Riley.

This will make competition and games a lot more interesting and this will have a big affect on Penn’s High School sports.
