This past Friday, the Penn Kingsmen traveled to Jackson Field to face off against the Riley Wildcats. The game was an absolute blowout with Penn taking the victory by the lopsided score of 70-0.

The win bumps Penn’s record up to 8-0 on the year, and their final regular season game is this Friday, October 17, 2014, at Freed Field against the 7-1 Mishawaka Cavemen. Mishawaka is coming off of a 28-20 victory over the Mishawaka Marian Knights.

Mishawaka enters the game having scored 347 points on the year, 55 points less than Penn’s NIC and Class 6A leading 382. Penn’s defense has been just a dominate, allowing only 66 points on the year – another NIC and Class 6A best. Mishawaka, on the other hand, has allowed 138 points on the year, more than twice as much as Penn.

To raise the already high stakes of the annual Backyard Brawl. this Friday night’s game will also decide who is crowed 2014 NIC champion.

The game is also Penn’s senior night, and kickoff is set for 7:00 P.M.
