This past weekend, the Penn softball team traveled down to Carmel for an overnight tournament. On Friday night, the team lost to Lake Central 5-2 during an international tie breaker. With bases loaded and two outs, a girl smacked a grand slam to claim the lead. But this didn’t ratter the Lady Kingsmen, as the came back the next day to beat Indianapolis Cathedral 4-2 with Katie Quinlan and Lizzie Bollinger both hitting home runs. Good luck to the Lady Kingsmen as they continue on their journey to State.
