Breaking bread is a student led club, sponsored by Mrs. Armstrong, the Library Director. The two Co-Presidents are Maddie Brown and Maddie Cullison.  The next meeting will be on Tuesday, October 17th, where they will have a food buffet where they can get together and just talk like they are eating dinner together.

The meeting is even around dinner time: 6:30pm. They hope to get together once a month. The purpose of the club is to get out of the bubble of Granger or Mishawaka and see the world before they are actually out in the world. “I think it would be really hard to move into this area and come to Penn if you don’t speak English very well, or you’re from a very different culture, so this is an opportunity to see other students as well,” said Mrs. Armstrong.

Breaking Bread is a club for many cultures. Ethnicity doesn’t matter. What does matter is acceptance and just good ol’ hanging out.
