On Tuesday, January 2nd, our Penn girls’ basketball team beat New Prairie on the road by a score of 61-27. Penn junior Jessa Troy led both teams in scoring with 20 points, plus three rebounds and one assist. The top scorer for New Prairie was senior Jolie Johns with 10 points, plus two rebounds and one assist. Penn senior Karleisha Echols led both teams in assists, with 4. No New Prairie player had two or more assists. With this win, Penn improves to a record of 12-5 (.706) heading into their next game at St. Joe on the 5th, just one game behind now 13-4 New Prairie.
