Over this semester, The classes from Penn, Mishawaka, and South Bend have competed in the annual Innovation Challenge.

The challenge this year is to find a way to make Lime Bike’s business more efficient from either a business standpoint or just making the bikes better. Penn students have already presented their ideas to a panel of judges. The 10 teams that have advanced will make working prototypes of their idea to once again be judged by Limebike employees and shareholders for an internship with Kenexis. Some of the things people are trying to fix are the kickstands, labeling system, how they fix the bikes, or even their business model and marketing. Overall this project enhances a students engineering capabilities and is a fun and good real world experience.
