Have you ever heard of the knitting club? The chances are, you haven’t. The Knitting Club only became a club this year, surprisingly. A student, Sophie Vukmirovich, had the idea and received support from Mrs. Callahan, her sophomore English teacher, to put it into practice.

The club will have meetings every 2nd and 3rd Wednesday of every month and has already had two meetings. The first meet was purely informational, and the second one was the start of what the club will continue to be.

You don’t need to know how to knit to attend the club, but you should be interested in learning how and able to follow instructions. Not only will you be taught the basics of knitting, but also enjoy food and socializing.

The club meets directly after school in room 248 and ends at 4:30 PM, so it still leaves time for activities afterward. This year was the first year of Knitting Club, nevertheless, it received a good reception. They are hoping to attract more people, beginners to knitting, or people who have never touched a sewing needle.
