The Northern Indiana Conference All-Conference teams were announced last night. Penn features two players, Sophomore wing Noah Applegate and Senior guard Brian Doslak.

Applegate was named first team All-Conference for the first time and is the only Sophomore to receive this honor. Applegate led the team in scoring, averaging 16.7 points and 6.8 rebounds a game.

“Applegate is a player with great potential,” Penn coach Al Rhodes said. “He is a good scorer and rebounder. He has a great future ahead if he continues to improve.”

Brian Doslak was named to the Honorable Mention team for the first time. Doslak was the team captain and is one of two returning starters from last season. Doslak averaged 9.6 points and led the team in assists with 4 per game.

Here is what Doslak has to say about being named Honorable Mention- “Being recognized individually is quite the honor but I couldn’t do it without my teammates, it was a very tough conference this year, so that makes it even more rewarding.”

Doslak will graduate this May and will attend Purdue University, he plans to study business next fall. Applegate will return to the Kingsmen for his Junior season and looks to continue his success as one of Penn’s best scorers.
