After six months of work, Penn Poms concluded their season in the top 5 at the state competition in New Castle.

On Saturday, March 10th, Penn Poms traveled to New Castle to compete in the AAA Pom division.

State, only places top 5, and our Poms team happened to land in 5th place. Penn happens to qualify as a Triple A (AAA) school. Top 5 is a great achievement considering Penn happened to stumble across some obstacles.

Not all teams who stumble upon obstacles can do good in the end. But most teams that encounter obstacles take that as a reason to get better an compete harder. Some teams, sadly don’t see it that way, as if they don’t care, but Penn used it as a reason to do good and get better, and that is exactly what they did. One obstacle they had to overcome comes from a quote from Penn Poms coach, Cindi Minegar, “I also had a girl, last minute, not be able to perform.  I put a sub in her place – first time ever she competed – but she did great!” Penn over came an obtuse obstacle, and placed fifth to get into State. What a great finish!
