As most students and parents know, the rest of this school year will be finished out via eLearning. There are approximately 14 days of school left–7 days for each class. It is encouraged that students stay up-to-date on their eLearning assignments for each of their classes.

With the school year ending on May 20th, we will have an extended summer break. The school year next year will still start as it was originally scheduled to. This is because Governor Eric Holcomb (R), said that Indiana schools will finish this academic year with 160 days, unlike the normal 180 days. Because of the extended summer break, there will be no in-person Summer School this year. However, the school system is working on ways to make Summer School possible with the use of technology. So far, the school system is looking at summer school that works like eLearning.

Also, with the abrupt ending to the school year coming on May 20th, there will be no final exams for the second semester. This does not mean that students should not do their work, however, as eLearning will help make or break the grade when it all unravels at the end of this school year.
